Retailers and restaurants all over the country are offering discounts and freebies to people who show their COVID-19 vaccine cards. Krispy Kreme doughnuts are probably the most prominent national brand, but many regional and local places are getting behind the vaccine bandwagon and offering perks to patrons who are vaccinated. Today we put together a shortlist of some of the available freebies and discounts across the country. There may be others in your local area that haven’t made national headlines yet, so be sure to ask around!
Krispy Kreme Donuts.
Show your vaccine card and get a free original glazed doughnut. You can get one per day through the end of 2021.
Uber is partnering with local organizations to provide 10 million free or discounted rides to COVID vaccine sites so people can get their shots.
Lyft is one-upping Uber by providing 60 million rides to and from vaccine sites through their Vaccine Access program.
Staples will laminate your vaccine card for free through May 1 by using the coupon code 81540.
Office Depot and Office Max.
Like Staples, these two are also offering to laminate your COVID-19 vaccine card for free through July 25th. Use the coupon code 52516714.
First, 10,000 Drop members to post a vaccine selfie with #DropCOVID and tag @JoinDrop will receive $50 in cash rewards. Next 10,000 will receive $20.
If you have a John Hancock insurance policy, join their vitality rewards program and get 400 rewards points if you have your COVID-19 vaccine.
Who doesn’t love a dozen White Castle burgers? Now you can get a free dessert-on-a-stick through May 31st at your local White Castle with proof of vaccine.
Budweiser will send you a $5 virtual debit card to buy a beer through May 16th through their “A Beer on Bud” program.
So Good For You.
Get a free juice shot of probiotic juice from So Good For You – redeemable at your local grocery store that carries their products.
Nathan’s Famous Hot Dogs.
If you’re in New York, you can get a free hot dog at Nathan’s on Coney Island the same day you get your shot.
If you happen to be in Brooklyn, Junior’s Cheesecake offers a free mini cheesecake or cupcake-sized cheesecake until Memorial Day if you show your vaccine card.
Oak & Reel.
If you’re in Detroit and like Italian food, Oak & Reel offers 50% off for vaccinated diners. The discount is big because it looks like the five-course chef tasting menu plus wine pairing will set you back $125 before the discount.
Rumbleseat Bar & Grille.
If you’re near Chicopee, MA, you can get 20% off food on Mondays with your COVID-19 vaccine card at Rumbleseat Bar & Grille.
Samuel Adams Beer.
Sam Adams will buy you a beer! First, 10,000 people to post a selfie on Instagram or Twitter with #ShotforSam will get $7 to buy beer. It appears they have already hit the 10k mark, so we’ll see if others follow suit.
Cincinnati Reds Baseball.
Are any Ohioans reading this? You can get $10 tickets to weekday Reds games with your vaccine card in April and May.
Free bus rides to vaccine appointments in the Tallahassee area.
In San Francisco, Super Duper Burgers is offering free fries if you post your COVID-19 selfie with #COVIDVaccine.
Uno Dos Tacos.
Like Super Duper Burgers (same ownership, I believe), Uno Dos Tacos offers free chips and salsa to those who post their vaccine selfie with #COVIDvaccine.
This Midwest-based arcade bar is offering 20 free tokens for those who show their vaccine card in a promo called “Tokens for Poke’ns.” Eligible to those within three weeks of getting your final COVID-19 vaccine shot.
You can get a free 44-ounce popcorn through April 30th at the Cleveland, OH movie theater.
Brianno’s Deli Italia.
If you live near Eagan, MN, you can get 10% off through the end of April with proof of being vaccinated.
Free paddleboard, snorkel, and surfboard rentals from Everyday California in San Diego Monday through Thursday through June 14th. You can also get 20% off clothing the same day as your rental.
Get $1 slices every Tuesday in April at the San Diego pizzeria with your vaccine card. Limited to three slices per person per day.
Greenhouse of Walled Lake.
For those of you in Michigan, The Greenhouse’s “Pot for Shots” program is giving away a free pre-rolled joint through April 30th to customers who show their COVID vaccine card.
Bab Al Shams.
If you’re vaccinated and ready for international travel, Bab Al Shams resort in the UAE is offering 25% off lodging plus 25% off dining.
I’m sure there are other establishments offering perks to those with their COVID-19 vaccines. If you own a business, consider offering a promotion. It could be good for business – it will likely get some local publicity. For the rest of you, take advantage of the deals while they last!
